Come learn about La Mesa’s own “Brigadoon,” the hidden gem neighborhood of the La Mesa Highlands. LMHC Past President and historian Jim Newland will make a presentation on the History of the La Mesa Highlands and its eclectic cultural landscape.

Modern San Diego website host and historian Keith York will then present on the Mid-Century Modern legacy of La Mesa and its highlands, including noted architect C. J. Paderewski and builder/designer George Eckel—whose projects are featured in LMHC’s November 4th Historic Home Tour. Audience members will be able to ask questions of the historians.
