Covid-19 Response
Similar to all community organizations, institutions and businesses across the nation the La Mesa History Center Board and Officers have been monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation with concern.
In concert with the Federal and State governments, the County of San Diego and the City of La Mesa we wish to do our part in the slowing of the spread of this virus.
Subsequently, for the safety of our Society volunteers, members, and visitors in addition to the Greater La Mesa community, we will temporarily close the McKinney House Museum and Research Archives to the public until further notice.
When public health conditions allow, we will resume our regular schedule of hours and events.
We appreciate all your support of what we do to educate and preserve Greater La Mesa’s cultural heritage, but we feel the socially responsible action is to suspend our public programs to focus first on our communities and family’s health.
Regularly check our website lamesahistory.com and our Facebook page for regular updates on the status of our facilities and programs.
Thank you all for sacrificing our personal needs with responsible actions that will help us contain this public health threat. Please take care of yourselves, your family and subsequently all our neighbors and community.
