The La Mesa History Center is proud to host Manhattan College history professor and San Diego native Adam Arenson for our next History Roundtable Lecture. Dr. Arenson will speak on his new book about the Millard Sheets’ Studios designs and artwork for Howard Ahmanson’s Home Savings and Loan buildings. Arenson’s interest in the subject dates back to his childhood visits to Grossmont Center that passed by La Mesa’s Home Savings Grossmont Branch on Jackson Drive with its history inspired tile mosaic murals. Adam will be available for questions after his talk and his beautifully illustrated books will be available for purchase and signing.
